Jeoung Hoon Yoo is a partner at DLG Law Corporation and Head of the Asia Practice Group. A graduate of Seoul National University School of Law and the Judicial Research and Training Institute, he holds unparalleled expertise in the legal systems of Asia, particularly Southeast Asia.
He is the first Korean attorney to enter key Southeast Asian markets, having established a presence in Laos (2008), Cambodia (2009), Myanmar (2012), and Thailand (2019). He currently oversees local offices and Korea Desks across the region.
Leveraging his deep understanding of local contexts and unmatched field experience, he provides clients with optimized legal solutions in areas such as foreign direct investment, real estate development, financial licensing, project financing, and IPOs. Notably, he successfully led Cambodia’s first IPO—Phnom Penh Water Supply Authority—and played a critical role in facilitating the market entry of major Korean financial institutions such as Kookmin Bank and Shinhan Bank into Southeast Asia.
With his deep knowledge of both domestic and international legal systems, he systematically analyzes complex legal frameworks in global business. In 2025, he led the launch and management of DLG & AP, the first joint venture between a Korean law firm and a Thai litigation boutique (AP Law Office), providing professional legal services that maximize client interests in cross-border transactions and disputes across Southeast Asia.
