Hwang, Iris has counseled clients in the entertainment/IT industries, especially concerning IP licensing, content sourcing / distribution/ financing, M&A, IP infringement disputes, and personal information collection and management. Ms. Hwang also uses her experience in representing entertainment companies (game, music, and movies) before the Contents Dispute Resolution Commission and domestic and international disputes to advice and counsel e-Commerce and entertainment company clients to prevent, prepare fore and to litigate or arbitrate matters.
Ms. Hwang is an active lecturer on IP and personal information protection areas. Additionally, Ms. Hwang devotes her pro bono efforts to assist refugee children in Korea, based on her interest gained during her internships at the UNESCO HQ and the Un Refugee Organization’s Bangkok Field Office.
