Soonchul Kim is a policy expert with extensive public service experience and expertise in the SME sector. Starting at the Economic Planning Board, he held key positions at the Ministry of Trade and Industry, the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy, the Small and Medium Business Administration, where he played a key role in SME policy as a planning coordinator, China attaché, and deputy director.

Later, he served as Chairman of the Korea Federation of Credit Guarantee Foundations and Secretary General of the Korea Foundation for Cooperation of Large & Small Business, Rural Affairs, where he contributed to the support of SMEs and the development of win-win cooperation. Currently, he is a member of the Office for Government Policy Coordination, advising the government on regulatory reform.

In recognition of his contributions, Mr. Kim has been awarded the Presidential Citation, the Order of Service Merit, and the Order of Service Merit (Red Stripes).
